Grumpy Guests – Sonja Akright Of The Geneva Lake Museum

The guys have been wanting to do this podcast for quite a while now. As some context, when the Grumpy Dungeon Masters went to Gary Con for their first time in 2025, Sonja was one of the first people they met at the con. She is the director of the Geneva Lake Museum and author of the book The Sanitariums of Lake Geneva.

She grew up in Lake Geneva Wisconsin, the birthplace of Dungeons & Dragons and had a view of TSR and all of the kooky individuals that worked there and at the Dungeon Hobby Shop. The guys get a chance to talk to her about what it was like growing up around such luminaries of the Table Top Industry.
